Bring a brand, take a fifth of what they pay
Every month, for as long as you are both here. You already tell brands how to work with you — this is the part where you get paid for it.

Per month, every month, on top of NextBatch already being free for you.
Referrals offset the $149/month listing before anything is paid out, so the first few cover it and everything after that is cash. A site making for fifteen brands is not earning pocket money here.
The whole thing, in six lines
- 20% of what they pay, every monthNot a one-off bounty. As long as the brand is on a paid plan and you are both still working together, you get a fifth of their subscription.
- For as long as both of you are activeIt does not expire after a year. It stops if they leave, which is the point — you have a reason to help them get value, not just to sign them up.
- Paid in cash, or against your listing firstIf you have a directory listing, referrals cover that before anything is transferred. Four referred Production brands and your listing is free with change left over.
- It starts once their first payment clearsA signup that churns in week two helps nobody, so the clock starts when they actually pay.
- No cap, and no limit on how manyIf you make for thirty brands, bring thirty. That is the whole idea.
- Only brands who were not already comingIf a brand had already started signing up, or we sourced them and charged an introduction fee, that one is not referred. We will tell you which is which before you invite anyone.
Why we pay for this at all
We thought about charging you for each extra brand instead. It is the obvious move and it is the wrong one — it taxes the exact thing we want most, and it means a brand inviting you gets told by their manufacturer that there is a bill attached. Nobody wins that conversation.
The opposite works far better. You already know fifteen brands who are running their production out of a spreadsheet, and a recommendation from the people who actually make their product carries more weight than anything we could say. So we would rather pay you a share of it, permanently, than spend the same money on advertising to strangers.
It also keeps our incentives honest. You stop earning if they leave, so we are both being paid to make sure the thing actually works for them.
Questions
How is a referral tracked?
By your join code or invite link — the same one you already use to connect a brand to your calendar. There is nothing extra to set up and no separate portal. If they arrive through your code, they are yours.
What if a brand I referred upgrades?
Your share goes up with them. Twenty per cent of Growth is more than twenty per cent of Production, and you did not have to do anything.
Do I have to be a paying manufacturer to earn it?
No. Everything operational is free for you and always will be, and the referral programme is open on the free plan. The directory listing is the only thing manufacturers can pay for, and referrals can cover it entirely.
Is this a conflict of interest? Am I pushing software on my customers?
Fair question, and worth being straight about. You are recommending something that is free for you and makes your own job easier — fewer emails asking where a run is, fewer disputes about what was agreed. If a brand does not want it, do not push it; a resentful customer is worth more to you than $39 a month. We would rather you referred five brands who use it than twenty who do not.
Your invite link is already in your account.
Same join code you use to connect a brand to your calendar. Nothing extra to set up.
No card. Set up your first product in about ten minutes.
