Name, collection, recipe and suppliers — the four things a product needs before it can be made.
A product in NextBatch is the thing you sell, and it needs four things before it can be produced: a name and pack format, a collection to sit in, a recipe, and suppliers for the ingredients that recipe uses.
The guided wizard walks you through all four in order and lets you create collections, ingredients and suppliers inline, so you never have to stop and go set something up elsewhere. You can save and come back at any point — a half-finished product is fine and is simply flagged as incomplete.
The only part worth slowing down for is the recipe basis. Enter your formulation in the unit it was developed in, per unit of volume or weight, not per batch. Everything downstream — the batch sheet, the ingredient order, the cost per unit — derives from that, and getting it right once saves re-deriving it forever.
