What actually moves this number
- Coffee, unusuallyOne of the few canned categories where the liquid outruns the can. Green coffee moves with the C-market and your cost moves with it.
- Extraction yieldHow much soluble you pull per kilo changes cost more than the price per kilo does. A brewer at 18% versus 22% is a different business.
- Milk or oat baseDairy needs a different process and different shelf-life economics. Oat is more forgiving to can and easier to source consistently.

- Assumes ambient-stable retort or aseptic. Chilled cold brew is cheaper to make and far more expensive to distribute.
